When first time used or after mainboard exchange, testing procedure is recommended. The procedure contains following:
- fan tests
- receiver test
- transmitter data connection test
- transmitter power test
- GSM module test
- dummy load
- cable for dummy load
- FM receiving antenna
- GSM antenna
- tinySA
Reset mainboard or switch off/on and listen. You should hear all of fans for a few seconds when system boots.
Goto "Ventilator assign menu" and change temperatures under T1 to value 10 deg less then ambient and listen. You should hear adequate FAN blowng. Repeat this for all four temperatures.
- install receiving FM antenna to the interface panel
- set up receiving frequency to desired local radio station
- switch on amplifier and increase volume by volume knob and listen
- switch on tinySA with FM band preconfigured
- attach any antenna with SMA plug (either GSM can be used for thgis case)
- goto "Transmitter settings" menu and change frequency to diferent one from default
- attach dummy load to the adequate port on interface panel
- move tinySA close to the transmitter module (you can even open Tx module shield
- switch on transmitter power switch
- activate manual trigger
- you should see peak on the tiny SA at desired Tx frequency
Note: you must have valid USB disc with valid spots inserted to the MB to activate trigger
If you have inserted valid SIM card, you should see trigger from previous test on BBserver. Note that you should have valid BBID configured
